LA Gray spent his formative years in Barbados where the sounds of Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, H-Town, Jodeci and Gerald Levert filled his home and fuelled his soul. Unlike most singers, he discovered his gift quite late. At 19 his older brother unfortunately passed away. During this difficult time as his brother loved music LA Gray decided to sing a tribute to him at church and from there he wrote songs to communicate how he was feeling whilst developing his raw, passionate and soulful sound. LA Gray has opened up for the likes of De La Soul, Erykah Badu and Tubby T and worked in the studio with John Holt and Trinidad James.
