Continuing on from the great momentum of her praised single ‘You Say’, Sarah Close releases the incredibly infectious pop track ‘Crazy Kind’, out now via her own label The Kodiak Club / AWAL.

‘Crazy Kind’ has an upbeat, punchy production that progressively transcends into a captivating chorus which showcases Sarah’s impeccable vocal. The track is about the thrill of being in a new relationship and the intense, exciting feeling of doing outlandish things and being with someone you’re besotted with.

Sarah explains "I woke up one day last year and felt like doing something crazy, so at 4pm I was on a flight to Barcelona and I had 23 hours there to do whatever I wanted. I left feeling so inspired (and knackered- it’s quite hard to bundle all the sights of a city into 23 hours it turns out) and I came into the studio on the Monday and wrote this song."

‘Crazy Kind’ follows on from You Say’ which was Sarah Close’s first release of 2018. On its first weekend of release, ‘You Say’ hit over 140K streams and 40K listeners. The official video premiered with NOTION and on its first night live, it garnered 30K views. Since the release of her debut EP ‘Caught Up’ in 2017, Close has received accolades from the likes of CLASH, Popjustice, The Line Of Best Fit, Evening Standard, tmrw Mag and Noctis Mag, as well as hitting #1 on many global viral Spotify lists and selling out her debut UK tour, including her second ever London show, headlining Heaven.

Hailing from the Isle of Wight – 23-year-old Sarah Close started writing songs at the age of 6 and at 14, Sarah started a YouTube channel with hopes that it would lead to a music career. Dreaming of a life beyond living in a small village on an island and knowing her dream was to move to London to pursue her career in music, at 18 years old Close enrolled in a songwriting course at North London’s Institute of Contemporary Music and Performance – a decision spurred by seeing other musicians online becoming successful artists in their own right, writing their own original material. Whilst studying, Sarah’s social following rapidly multiplied in its thousands making her into an online sensation and so in her second year, Sarah decided to leave the course to pursue her music career on her own. Previously working alongside Parlophone Records, Sarah is now back in full control releasing music independently through The Kodiak Club, via AWAL.

Sarah Close maintains to prove that she has the ability to create dynamic, uplifting modern pop gems whilst making stunning visuals that accompany her music without label backing. An exciting new talent who has more new music to come and live dates are to be announced imminently.
