Bloom is the result of iluvlive and ERNB’s shared passion for the genre. Both platforms are dedicated to showcasing the diversity throughout the genre at Colours Hoxton.

We are inviting five talented individuals to take centre stage and showcase their talent for 60 seconds each, using either one of these iconic instrumentals.

The winner will be chosen based on crowd participation and will be rewarded with having their song added to our much-coveted ‘New Talent First’ playlist. The winner will also receive a pair of tickets to our next show.

Host

DJ Ace, a key figure in UK R&B, is a Sony Gold Award-winning broadcaster, MOBO host, and dedicated champion of emerging talent.

In February 2023, he launched Everything RNB (ERNB), an affiliate of The RecordBox, to amplify UK R&B on a global scale.

After 21 years at BBC Radio 1Xtra, Ace has joined Kiss FM, hosting a new Sunday 9pm R&B show for 2.3 million listeners. The two-hour slot delivers the latest tracks, KISSTORY classics, and top-tier guest features.

DJ

Pharaoh is a multi-genre DJ and national radio broadcaster for the world-famous BBC Radio 1Xtra. Pharaoh has graced the stages of renowned venues like Fabric, Electric Brixton, KOKO, Soho House (White City & Shoreditch), Ministry of Sound, and Somerset House.  His broadcasting career has allowed him to work alongside some of the world's biggest stars, including Sean Paul, Mo Gilligan, Ishowspeed, Raheem Sterling, Swizz Beats, Professor Green, Masego, and more. Notting Hill Carnival, Rototom Fest, Wireless, and City Splash are a few major events where he has left his mark.


AKEMI FOX

Akemi Fox is one of the North’s most soothing alternative R&B artists. Her distinctive voice, seductive, lyrical ability, and 90s/00s nostalgic sound have cemented her position in the UK music scene as one of its most fearless and gifted songstresses. She receives ongoing support from Amazon, Spotify, and Apple Music, which has earned her placement in editorial playlists.

IZABEL

Izabel is a rising artist and singer from Sofia, Bulgaria. Based in London since 2019, she graduated from the BIMM Institute and has worked with artists like Col3trane, Miraa May, edbl, Loie, Mom Tudie & more. Following her 2024 EP SCENARIOS and a live session in Sofia, she opened for Asher Roth in Hootananny Brixton, London. With collaborations and a 3rd EP set for 2025, Izabel continues to make her mark.

LOIE

Loie (pronounced LOW-EE) is a boundary-pushing artist, writer, and multi-instrumentalist from South East London, blending jazz, alternative R&B, and cinematic storytelling. Her sound, shaped by her Chinese-Trinidadian and British heritage, combines soulful melodies and poetic lyricism, resonating with heartfelt authenticity. Her live performances, known for their improvisational flair, have sold out venues like Café KOKO and Dalston Curve Garden, and she’s shared stages with artists like Etta Bond and Carla Prata.

NATALIE LINDI

Natalie Lindi is a rising UK artist and MOBO Unsung Class of 2022 recipient, known for her soulful blend of jazz and R&B. Born and raised in London with South African roots, Lindi blends soulful melodies with jazz and R&B influences, drawing comparisons to Lianne La Havas and Tori Kelly. Her soaring vocal range and distinctive tone are inspired by legends like Ella Fitzgerald and Minnie Riperton.

Lindi has performed at venues like Ronnie Scott’s and The Jazz Café and collaborated with Grammy-winning duo Blue Lab Beats, whom she performed with at Glastonbury. Her latest music, released via AWAL, has been supported by Apple Music, BBC Radio 1, and BBC Introducing.
