#NEWMUSIC | Josh Kumra - Stubborn Love

Josh Kumra; we are so so excited he’s back!

Stubborn Love, accompanied by piano keys, is a beautiful track that feels both tender but powerful. It really would be fitting for a film soundtrack!

Best known for his collaboration of ‘Don’t Go’ with Wretch 32 back in 2011, Josh was thrown into the limelight rapidly. He performed on Jools Holland, many summer festivals and then released his EP Helicopters and Planes in 2012. Within that year, he supported Gabrielle Aplin, Nina Nesbitt and Lianne La Havas before dropping his debut album ‘Good things come to those who don’t wait’ in 2013.

With all the publicity and getting signed, Josh began to feel as though he was slipping away from his bedroom writing, love of the music feel, admitting instead of having the time to perfect songs that reflected my life experiences and create an honest album, as I’ve always imagined, I felt vulnerable and lost against the many opinions and expectations from people around me”.

He withdrew from the spotlight, moved out of London and built his own recording studio in the countryside! Now he’s back with the beautiful song Stubborn Love, ahead of his new EP ‘Pull me back in’ release in April 2020. We can’t wait to hear the EP!
