#MusicNews | Ed Sheeran hits No.1 with “Beautiful People” single and 'No.6 Collaborations Project' album this week
According to Official UK Charts, Ed Sheeran has climbed to no.1 spot with “Beautiful People” featuring Khalid on the UK single chart this week. At the same time, the iluvlive alumnus has also topped the UK album chart with “No.6 Collaborations Project” which features his collaborations with other big names including Justin Bieber, Ella Mai, Stormzy, Travis Scott, and many more
With “Beautiful People” being his 7th chart-topping single, the guitar player is now on the same level as George Michael (as a soloist), Michael Jackson, Tinie Tempah, Jess Glynne, Sam Smith and Justin Bieber, who snagged his seventh with Sheeran.
Ed Sheeran first made it to the highest spot on the UK singles chart in with 2014’s “Sing,” the lead promotional track taken from his second album x. He quickly followed that up with a second no.1 single from the same album, “Thinking Out Loud.” His third full-length ÷ (Divide) also produced two No. 1 hits, “Shape of You” and “Perfect.”
Ed Sheeran had also hit the no.1 spot as a featured artist on Eminem’s ‘River on 2017
Aside from “Beautiful People” single, Ed Sheeran’s latest album, No.6 Collaborations Project, has also sent his last no.1 release “I Don’t Care” with Justin Bieber to the top of the UK singles chart
