AIM Independent Music Awards returns for the 9th year with their nominees being revealed. This leading award ceremony for the emerging acts worldwide will be hosted on 3rd September at 8.15pm, Roundhouse London

Congratulations to our previous iluvlive performer Little Simz for being nominated for Best Independent Album with her third album “GREY Area” and for Best Independent Track with this year’s single ‘Selfish’ featuring Cleo Sol. Also well done to another iluvlive alumni Swindle who was chosen to be shortlisted for Best Independent Album with his recent album ‘No More Normal’

Another great year for some UK Urban acts like Dave who was selected as the nominee for Best Independent Track with ‘Funky Friday’ featuring Fredo and also for Best Independent Album with his debut album ‘Psychodrama’. Meanwhile, AJ Tracey and Jorja Smith were shortlisted for PPL Award For Most Played New Independent Artist category. Amazing to see London-based Afro B, who’s known for his biggest Afrobeat single ‘Drogba (Joanna)’, to be the first-time nominee for International Breakthrough category

The winners of the Innovator Award and Indie Champion, as well as the Best Live Act nominees will be announced in the lead up to this year’s awards ceremony.
