Monday Mic Night Finalist Winner: Talks with Manny Alexandra

Singer Manny Alexandra won a whopping £1000 on our Monday Mic Night Final last week; an incredible sum of money for an incredible talented musician!

We did a Q&A to get to know who Manny is!

I’m Manny, 23, from South London!

Why did you apply to our Monday Mic Night Event?

I applied because I love the iluvlive platform, and really admire how they genuinely support and care for artists. This was an amazing opportunity to get some (much needed) funding towards my music, and being able to get in the studio and continue recording and eventually, release some material!

You won! How do you feel?

Honestly, when I found out I won, I was totally not expecting it. I’m a super emotional person as well, so there were definitely some tears 😂 But I’m so incredibly grateful, and it’s made things so much easier for me in terms of getting the ball rolling with my music! It’s taken a huge weight off my shoulders, for sure.

What have you/will you spend the money on?

I’ve been spending it towards all things studio related! I’m really excited to show you guys what I’ve been working on! I’m hoping for my first release in the next couple of months and maybe a second and/or third release later this year 👀 we’ll see... stay tuned!
