#NewMusic | Mahalia ft. Burna Boy - Simmer

Simmer (feat. Burna Boy), a song by Mahalia, Burna Boy on Spotify

Mahalia has dropped her latest track ‘Simmer’ featuring her collaboration with Nigerian star Burna Boy which is out now on all digital platforms. It's a lead single taken from her forthcoming album ‘Love and Compromise’ which is due to be released on 6th September and includes her other two single hits ‘I Wish I Missed My Ex’ and ‘Do Not Disturb’ .

This summer anthem takes both its name and its sample from Beenie Man's 1997 Dancehall hit, "Who Am I (Sim Simma). Along with the grinding bassline and chillout R&B synths, it's an island-inspired jam that will give some serious beach party vibes.

To promote the hugely anticipated ‘Love and Compromise’ album, the Leicester-based songstress will also be having a world tour of the same name with the UK dates in November. This included a date at London’s prestigious Roundhouse on 25th November.

Tickets for Mahalia’s UK dates will be on sales TOMORROW (Friday 5th July) at 10am. Click here to get your hands on them and for the full dates.

Following the release of Mahalia's first EP "Head Space" at just aged 14, her career has took off ever since with a role in Noel Clarke's 2016 film Brotherhood and a tour with Ed Sheeran. She has also recently won YouTube's One To Watch award, has been nominated for BRIT’s Critics Choice Award and went onto support Ella Mai on the US tour.

Really amazing to be part of Mahalia's journey after she had played at iluvlive in 2012. Watch her on our throwback video:
