Multi disciplinary collective Vibbar release their brand new EP You Should Be Here via Virgin Records. The mixtape follows the release of their energetic summer anthem ‘Come My Way’ (featuring Louis Rei of WSTRN) earlier this month.

You Should Be Here is a slick demonstration of Vibbar’s musical and stylistic evolution since their debut Black Mirror inspired project ‘San Junipero’, back in 2019. The EP showcases the collective’s signature, honeyed bars over laid-back production and sees the group experiment with a fusion of hip-hop, afrobeats, jazz and garage. Mixtape highlight ‘Come My Way’, released earlier this month, picked up press support from the likes of Wonderland, Clash, The Independent and GRM Daily as well as plays from DJ Target on Radio 1Xtra, Kiss FM, Rinse and more.

Speaking on the EP, Vibbar explains:

“I called tj twice…..he never called back” - Skitz

"Skits did playas f*ck up in one take" - TJ 2Percent

“Yinka says don’t quote me” - Yinka Says

“If you knew that what Pep really said, you might cancel the whole tape” - Jordy

“We are all bored of telling you what the tape is like, we think you should listen… forget what we are saying now” - Poet

The collective itself was born in 2016 - named after the Swedish word for ‘vibes - in a bar packed full of their friends and family: today, the expansive group consists of rappers, singers, producers, fashionistas, artists, and everything in between, with each individual member bringing their own creativity to the table.

Vibbar have since gone on to work with some of the most notable names across the scene, such as JME, Big Narstie & Ms Banks. They have sold out headline shows across the capital - with a surprise guest appearance from grime heavyweight Boy Better Know at their Colours Hoxton date - and already boast millions of streams. Active Vibbar members also work across the likes of 'Filthy Fellas', 'The Half Cast Podcast' and have collaborated on projects with the likes of Nike, Puma and True Religion.
