iluvlive Launches Exciting New Genre-Based Series in Partnership with PPL Giving
iluvlive is thrilled to announce that PPL Giving will support its new genre-based series of events over the next 12 months. Following the successful launch of Bloom in partnership with Everything RnB (ERNB) in May, iluvlive will return to The Lower Third on 30th July with another incredible lineup of artists showcasing the best emerging R&B talent in the UK. The lineup will include Bea Anderson, Morgan Munroe, Karl Benjamin and Raheaven. Followed by the debut of a new rap partnership in the near future.
PPL licenses the use of recorded music on radio, TV and in public places such as shops, bars, restaurants, gyms, offices and warehouses in the UK and distributes the money to performers and recording rightsholders. PPL Giving’s goal is to help build a sustainable music industry for future generations, reinforcing the organisation’s long-standing desire to support performers at every stage of their career.
Founded in 2004, iluvlive has a long-standing reputation for championing Black British musicians and genres. Through its artist development platform and live events across the UK, iluvlive has supported the careers of artists such as Ella Mai, Mahalia, Wretch 32, Ghetts, Kano, Little Simz and Kojey Radical, among others. iluvlive continues to play a vital role in amplifying new talent first, and ‘Bloom’ is a testament to that.
Managing Director Lauren Louise Powell, iluvlive says, “We're excited to return with Bloom on July 30th alongside ERNB. We're honoured to showcase the best upcoming R&B artists in the UK and to have the incredible support of PPL Giving.”
Kate Reilly, Chief Membership & People Officer, PPL said: "iluvlive has a rich history of showcasing some of the UK's best up and coming talent. This new programme aligns well with our core objectives to help drive positive change across the music industry and support the next generation of R&B talent. I'm looking forward to checking out the showcases."

About PPL
PPL is the UK music industry’s collective management organisation (CMO) for performers and recording rightsholders, founded in 1934. We license recorded music in the UK when it is played in public (bars, nightclubs, shops, offices, etc.) or broadcast (BBC, commercial radio, commercial TV, etc.) and we work to ensure that revenue flows back to both our own members and those of our international CMO partners. Our members include both independent and major record companies, together with performers ranging from emerging grassroots artists through to established session musicians and globally renowned artists.
In 2023, PPL’s revenue was £283.5 million, the highest in the organisation’s 90-year history, and we paid close to 165,000 performers and recording rightsholders.
PPL’s public performance licensing is carried out on our behalf by PPL PRS Ltd, the joint venture between PPL and PRS for Music. Through a network of agreements with CMOs around the world, we also collect performance rights royalties internationally when music is played overseas in public and used on TV, radio and some online streaming services, as well as for private copying. International royalties are an increasingly important revenue stream for performers and recording rightsholders.
